Repeat AHC – £89
This option is available for returning clients whose pets have a previously issued AHC from us, with unchanged details and up-to-date rabies vaccination.
- Available if arranged more than 10 days before your appointment.
- Suitable for returning clients with the same valid rabies vaccination that was included on the AHC last issued by Vet Home Certs.
- AHC language, owner, and pet details must remain the same as the previous issue.
- Additional pets can be added for £20 each.
- An appointment is only considered to be arranged once we have all the information and an appointment is confirmed following payment.
Standard AHC – £99
Ideal if you are able to plan your travel in advance, our standard option offers a guided service and flexible delivery options.
- Available if we receive the required information (and payment) more than 7 days before your appointment.
- We guide you through the process, ensuring everything is set before your travel.
- Option direct delivery of your AHC to your chosen address, if within one of our delivery areas.
- Some areas have collection point discounts of up to £10. Please see our interactive map for the locations and discounts.
- Additional pets can be added for £30 each (Up to a max of 5 pets on one AHC).
- An appointment is only considered to be arranged once we have all the information we need (both from your vets and yourself) and an appointment is booked and confirmed following payment.
Urgent AHC – £199
For those needing an AHC at short notice, our urgent service ensures you can receive your certificate quickly and efficiently.
- Available if we receive the required information (and payment) within 7 days of your appointment.
- Ultra-fast turnaround for last-minute bookings.

- Additional pets can be added for £30 each. Up to a maximum of 5 pets per AHC.
- An appointment is only considered to be arranged once we have all the information we need (both from your vets and yourself) and an appointment is confirmed following payment.
Requesting an AHC Appointment
We recommend requesting your AHC appointment 4-6 weeks before your travel date. This allows us plenty of time to process everything and obtain the information we need from your vets and yourself. However, if your travel plans are closer, we can certainly manage this and recommend submitting your AHC request as soon as your travel details and your pet’s rabies vaccination are confirmed.
After submitting your request, you will receive an email with a pre-AHC form. As part of the process, you’ll need to contact your vet practice to have your pet’s notes sent directly to us. Once we’ve verified your pet’s rabies vaccination status, we will offer an appointment based on our vets availability.
Appointment Confirmation Process
Once we have all the necessary information, we will schedule a provisional appointment and issue an invoice. Your appointment is confirmed only after payment has been received. It is important to note that the timing of your form submission does not determine whether the AHC is considered urgent or standard; rather, this is based on when we receive full payment (via bank transfer from a UK bank account) and all required documentation.
If your appointment falls within 7 days of receiving payment, the AHC is classified as urgent and will be charged accordingly.
Collection Points and Home Visits
Our vets can meet you at one of our collection points to provide the AHC. Some of the collection points offer discounts of up to £10, this can be seen using our interactive map. In some cases, if you are within our wider delivery area, a home visit can be arranged for an additional fee of up to £20. Additional Charges
There are some uncommon situations in which we have to apply additional charges to generate the AHC due to the increased administrative work required, we will let you know if these charges apply as soon as we know. (We do not charge for witnessing worming medications that you bring to the appointment).
- £15 extra for a pet with two ID microchips (this is rare where a pet has two working ID chips) – this creates a situation where we have to edit the documentation in a unique way and provide additional supporting evidence for travel.
- £10 extra for cases requiring two rabies certificates (such as booster shots within 21 days of the AHC issue or evidence of a change in rabies vaccine validity where evidence of both rabies vaccinations are required).
- £5 extra for the additional administration time required when using an Authorised Person or Carrier Company.
Please note
Once an appointment is confirmed it is exceedingly rare that we will ask to change the appointment and will only do so in urgent unexpected situations.
The AHC creation process begins immediately after receiving the bank transfer and so if changes are required later this may incur an administrative fee, this is as the unique certificate number is assigned to your details and appointment date.
