Meet Steffi Galt, our local AHC vet

Steffi Galt graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2016 and began her career in small animal practice. She moved into emergency and critical care in 2019 and is working towards a CertAVP in that field. Originally from Trinidad, Steffi lives with her family and a Border Collie, and helps owners organise their pets’ travel certificates through her Haslemere AHC service.

Steffi scans and verifies the microchip of every pet named on the AHC, briefly inspects the pets and witnesses the owner, or an authorised person where applicable, signing the declaration page. Steffi completes the final checks and signing, guides you through the certificate and answers last-minute questions where possible.

Your AHC is prepared in advance, and Steffi meets you and all pets named on the certificate at the clinic for the final checks and signing. If arriving by car, keep pets in the vehicle until instructed otherwise. If you are bringing a cat without a car, let Steffi know beforehand.

Dogs and cats can depart on participating airlines in the cabin or checked-pet hold with prior approval. Airline, aircraft and carrier restrictions apply; cargo requires separate arrangements. Confirm the flight and return arrangements before booking.

Animal Health Certificate prices in Godalming, Haslemere and Hindhead

• Repeat AHC: £89. For returning clients whose pets previously received an AHC from the same VetHomeCerts vet, with the same AHC language, owner and pet details and the same still-valid rabies vaccination. Arrange it more than ten days before the appointment. Additional pets cost £25 each.
• Standard AHC: £99. Required information and payment must be received more than seven days before the appointment. Additional pets cost £30 each, with up to five pets on one AHC.
• Urgent AHC: £199. This applies when required information and payment are received within seven days of the appointment. Additional pets cost £30 each, with up to five pets on one AHC.

How to get an AHC appointment in Godalming, Haslemere and Hindhead

1. Check the area and vet. Choose collection at Pawprints Vetcare in Godalming from 2 November 2026, or request an AHC home visit within 10 miles of Hindhead. View our areas covered map and provide your address for a home-visit request.
2. Complete Stage 1. Use the initial form to request an AHC appointment. Submission requests an AHC appointment; it does not automatically confirm one.
3. Complete Stage 2. The second form is emailed immediately after Stage 1 and gathers the details for the AHC. Both forms must be completed for your request to be processed. If the email does not arrive within a few minutes, check spam and verify the email address entered.
4. Wait for the request to be checked. Steffi checks your information and arranges the appointment as appropriate. Confirmation follows the required information checks and payment.
5. Attend and receive your AHC. All pets named on the certificate must attend the agreed Godalming AHC collection appointment or be present for the confirmed home visit. Steffi completes the final checks and signing and issues the certificate.
